It’s Monday! What are you Reading? is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.
I hope all of you American readers are having a Happy 4th of July! Fireworks are banned here due to the drought, so we are expecting a fairly quiet day in the ‘hood.
I am currently reading:
- A Visit From the Goon Squad by Jennifer Egan – This is for the Goodreads Book Club.
- Turn of Mind by Alice LaPlante – This is a NetGalley book for review, and it is the third memory type book I have read in the past month. I think I may need a break from the memory-loss genre after reading this one.
- To Fetch a Thief by Spencer Quinn – I am still listening to this during my commute, but I think I will finish this week.
Last week I finished:
When the Killing’s Done by T.C. Boyle – I have a lot of thoughts on this one, and I hope I can form them into a cohesive review sometime this week. (4 out of 5)
Upcoming:
Beaglemania by Linda O. Johnston – I checked this out from the library. It is no secret that I am a fan of animal-centric cozy mysteries.
After Beaglemania, maybe I can catch up on some older NetGalley titles, or maybe I can get a jump start on future NetGalley titles so that I don’t feel so behind/rushed.
What are you reading this week?
Turn of Mind sounds good. Goon Squad is one I read last year, and I had mixed feelings about it. Hope you enjoy it.
Thanks for visiting my blog.

So far I feel sort of indifferent to A Visit from the Goon Squad, but it is interesting enough. We’ll see.

Turn of Mind is good so far, but I think my feelings about it may suffer from having just read Before I Go to Sleep. Before I Go to Sleep was incredibly good.
