Saturday Snapshot

Saturday Snapshot is hosted by Alyce of At Home With Books.

Yesterday I went tubing on the Comal River. Afterwards, we visited for a bit at a resort in New Braunfels. There were so many deer! Deer! Everywhere! Obviously, this city girl is easily impressed by nature.

Have a great weekend!

  1. I think seeing deer out in the wild never gets old. My family lived in the country for my entire childhood and every single one of them still gets giddy to see deer (as long as they’re not in the middle of the highway on a dark night). 🙂

  2. I used to live in Comal county (until a couple months ago) and there were deer on our front lawn every day. Beautiful to look at, but they would wreak havoc on the landscaping. There wasn’t a deer resistant plant the deer in our neighborhood wouldn’t eat!

  3. They always look so pretty and serene. I usually see them in the wooded areas but not out in the open like that. There must be a huge deer population there, or maybe they are just very friendly deer!

  4. I’m always sort of wonderstruck by deer in places you don’t expect them. They’re so silent and watchful and they are so very out of place in your front yard or a parking lot or something. Makes me sad, though, because those are dangerous places for them to be. Great picture!

    Here’s my Snapshot!

  5. Oh wow, what an amazing photo…especially for a girl living in Brooklyn! It always amazes me when people see deer in their backyard, at their local park…or at a resort!
